Antique bronze Garuda statue, India, 7.5cm high.
This beautiful statue depicts Garuda, the vehicle (vahana) of the Hindu God,
Vishnu.
A mix of human and eagle in form, he represents birth and heaven, and is the
enemy of all snakes.
In Indian depictions of Garuda, only his wings remain from the bird form.
The statue is finely cast in genuine bronze. Excellent condition.
Dimensions: approximately 7.5cm high x 4.1cm wide x 3.5cm deep.
